MainstreamPop.com / MainstreamRap.com / MainstreamMp3.com

Several music domains up for the appraisals of my peers.

Several returns from google for the first two domains.

MainstreamMp3.com would probably be best developed. Nice catchy name.

its a very mainstream collection of names. not sure if it will get any typein traffic and mainstreammp3 would work better as mainstreamMP3s.

Mainstream is a very much a noun.. however I think a play on words could really bring in some results like main (stream) Mp3.

As they are I am reluctant to put forward an appraisal.

I see. Thought you were someone else. Thanks.

The way that Mainstream is used here is a adjective. Thanks again.

Looks like big $ for some sales to Russians (the MP3 one). I would price that one WAY up and throw them all in as a block, then advertise them in Russia! Super nice catches either way you slice it.

Thanks alot. I appreciate the appraisal. Any idea of starting price?

Also, why russians?

I can't see a price clearly enough, but I know Russians can host mp3 sites of the less than RIAA friendly variety! If you put the time into seeking a buyer I would think definite xx,xxx for the block, but that's just guttish and not studied.

Thanks alot. I was thinking at least X,XXX for the set. I have many russian contacts that I will get ahold of. Thanks for the heads up.

I've already received offers ranging from 2-300 each, to 1,200 for the set today. If anyone else is interested, please PM me.

Mighty welcome, hope it works out! I'm sure it's handy having some Russian contacts!

Go check out AllOfMP3.com to see how the pirate Russkies kick it.

LOL. Oh okay, I've heard people talk about that site. The MP3s are like .13. Maybe I'll drop them a line.

I think that to many people, the word mainstream is synonymous with boring.

EDIT: (after I did some research)

Some people associate the word mainstream with the word boring.

Really? I've never once heard the word Mainstream used for boring. Maybe alternative people using it to say that something is too common.

I was looking for a good graphic to go with what I think for the word mainstream, but one was not available.

It would be something between
:cheeky: and :puke:
but far less messy.

Sure, to many people mainstream = boring and sheeplike, but most people ARE boring and sheeplike! Anyway, the keywords within the domain are strong as is the business potential for the end user, so I wouldnt "give it away"...sometimes you just need to hold on to something and find the right match between domain and buyer to get its full worth (or closer to it). The way I see it selling a good domain is like selling a somewhat prefab business, and if someone knows in their soul they can take THAT domain and turn it into serious $ they should be ready to back up their confidence with a reasonable initial purchase. An initial outlay of a coupla thousand is no big deal when you know you can turn it into WAY more. Those are good domains...period. Good catch and good luck!

Thanks again, dwrunyon. I just sent a reply to your PM.
