It also receives a regular flow of incomprehensible offers from China.

Don't let it go for a song. A commercial chain is going to spend millions on a variety of branding and operating expenses before the doors even open. Having a memorable web address for their business is a key expense these days. A short name for the mobile market is a very important bit of real estate. Putting a value on a domain is tricky, but I'd probably not let that one go for under 6 figures.
