Zero no matter what. The only chance you have of making it valuable would be to develop it, and at point you would have a business; not a domain name. And it isn't even good for development, since you would be giving away part of your business to the site without the hyphen.......a significant percentage of all of your time and effort would be wasted because of that fact.

If you would pay him $500 for it right now then you might be right. Let me know if you are serious about making him an offer, or if you are just blowing spoke and throwing numbers out there. I will admit that the name has value if you are ready to cough up the $500 cash for this name right now.
