what are the chances that the poor and unemployed in the third world are ever going to know what .mobi is? ...for those that havent noticed...Apple is promoting its iPhone by saying that its the real internet, not some shrunk down version or mobileversion only that the mobi fraction initially said this would be for..., I think its the end of mobi before it even started IMO, by the time .mobi would have time to become a little popular outside of domain owners, almost all phones will have the capability of displaying the full version of the internet.., I think the lot is worth mid $$

why isn't there any talk of the iphone being good for .mobi - apple may be branding it as the real internet, but i promise you its not. in addition, business users are not going to switch from their smart phones to iphones. try surfing dnforum on a treo - then you'll see why .mobi isn't dead before it even started.

you obviously dont have an iPhone, otherwise you wouldnt talk nonsense here..trust me, I have one..and its the real thing..not like the garbage you see on all these blackberries, treo etc..do yourself a favor and go to an ATT cingular store and check it out..and thats todays technology..imagine 5 years from now..mobi is dead IMO
