Greetings folks,

As I am starting to work on a new venture, I have decided to part with some of the channels that make up toumanov media (www.toumanov.com) that I definitely have no more time for.

About MindMagazine.com

www.MindMagazine.com is a different kind of media. MindMagazine is meant to broaden readers’ awareness by offering new perspectives on matters people think they knew. The idea has to build up an archive of many investigative stories, timeless pieces that will serve as public content library, and at some point of time - commercial content. Licensing is a long-term option. In the meantime, having great stories mentioned in academic reports, news stories, etc, is a great way to build up credibility.

MindMagazine.com was mentioned in press: The Link (student newspaper), CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) has been linking to at least 1 story I know off.

A collection of 27 investigative stories are well positioned with search engines - most people find us through search engines looking for a specific topic (particular story pops up).

All stories were written by young professional freelance journalists. All stories were paid for in the range of $30-45 per story . All rights reserved. Reprints are permission based at this stage ONLY.

Technical Information

This is a PR3 domain name with hundreds of unique visitors and thousands of hits per month. Very little paid promotion was done through AdSense. Web site submitted to most search engines (most of our traffic comes from many search engines).

The magazine started in 2003, but was put on hold for new material since late 2004. However, with very little impact on traffic, it still presents quite an interest of many people. In 2005 and early 2006 I was approached by interested buyers, both were turned down. Not because the offers were bad, but because I thought I would have more time for it in future.

Traffic, search engine, and other stats:

Content Management System

I purchased an expensive CMS system called Vezine before for $160. Since then, the company has gone offline for reasons I missed, but the script is available. I will make it available with the sale.

Its very easy to work with the script (customize templates, manage groups, newsletters, RSS, etc). How does it look? Well, now the site looks like you see, but CMS allows for many more dynamic features. An article would look like this: http://www.mindmagazine.com/article.php?articleID=8

Revenue

I have just switched the look of the magazine to static HTML pages. It has some AdSense ads displayed throughout the site. I have no stats for that. For the last 3 years the magazine did not display ANY ads, and when it did in 2003 for a few months, the revenues were $15-25/mo.

I never got a chance to sell directly to sponsors which I prefer to any third party agencies. If I did, revenues could have reached $50-75/mo.

The costs of running the magazine are very low now. Except for if you decide to pay writers for articles, you only need hosting (uses barely any resources) and domain name.

It is critical that you are a responsible person who wishes to continue building this site and turning what looks to be a very promising startup magazine with established reputation into a more active media channel. It has all the base - all it needs is time and direction. Buying this channel just to have it redirect elsewhere, or use its traffic, would of course be within your right, but quite disappointing to me personally.

Starting bid: $900

Bid incr.: $25

I have a BIN in mind, however, would like not to name it publicly. Contact me if you wish.

Best,
Artashes
