I can't really see any other applications other than this.. Lots of good keywords were registered today, but people aren't really doing too much in depth stuff on the phone.. like buying car insurance or consolidating their debt on the go, at least not in my opinion.

The whois for mobi names registered at dotster.com is starting to update.

I ordered a bunch of names there and it seems there is quite a bit of confusion still.

You can look in your "my billing " category of your dotster.com account and look at orders labeled "complete" to see names you have gotten.

I just got an email from Dotster saying they had got exercises.mobi for me, it had been showing them on the whois details till now...at least they got 1 of the 15 I had requested!

Godaddy got 3 out of 15 I tried with them.

I'd tend to agree....may be in future the horizons for mobile web usage will expand but for now I rather be conservative and stay narrow in focus....so some of the names I got:

I only regged one .mobi - got it this morning on GoDaddy - GHETTO.MOBI and it will be a site that is not only entertainment related , but is also heavy use of cellphone related - a site to download hiphop/rap ringtones from your cell phone.........

does anyone agree with me that this name fits the .mobi ext??

Figured that all these cut throat comeptitive Cell Companies would be all over spamming their services over the mobi or perhaps offering services/repairs as well.
