I am not sure if this is the right section, but I couldn't find anywhere else to ask this that seemed appropriate so I will try to post it here.

I am in the US and am buying a domain from someone in Asia....

is Moneybookers.com a good escrow service to use?
Are they reliable? Will I have any legal problems if I use them?

It is about a 5K purchase, so I am leery about using Moneybookers as I have never used them before...

Moniker is your best choice. Escrow.com is second. I would never use MoneyBookers for an x,xxx transaction.

I understand that the mentioned escrow services are reliable and that most of us have positive experience from using them. But does anyone have any bad experience from using moneybookers escrow?

Escrow.com is better for buying a name cos you can monitor the status of the escrow. Not so good if you're selling cos they don't escrow the name.

It is better for a chinese seller because it has a chinese language option and it has more payment options to China.
