Not when combined with paintball. This is a sport that hurting people is not the object of the game. Safety and fair play is very important and a paintball gun is not considered a weapon any more than a glue gun.

On second thought, there are certain groups that play combat simulation using paintball, so maybe there's some potential to someone who likes to pretend they are weapons. :)

No point in us cogitating over the use of words and I agree with the aims of the sport.

However, c heck out just how many sites are actually selling paintball weapons!

None that I can find. Did you see any sites selling paintball products as weapons?

All refer to Paintball Weapons!

Ok, I don't want to keep debating this because really I could care less. I was just trying to offer an honest appraisal and explain why. None of these sites you listed are selling paintball products by refering them as paintball weapons.

The only one of the sites that you listed that talked about them as weapons was deltapaintball.com, which is a paintball team that pretends, not a store selling products.

Anyway, good luck with the domain. I'm sure you'll find a use for it somehow.

If you consider there is no issue do not respond.

I went to the last one on on my list, no particular reason, BattlefieldSports.com , high and dry on the homepage " weapons" . !!

I did not even bother to recheck the ones I already know about.

www.paintballweapons.com might sound like a good name, to people who are unfamiliar with the dynamics and politics of paintball.

However, there is an real stigma within the paintball industry against the use of certain terms that might normally cross over from the firearms industry. This is why all of the ASTM standards and major magazine articles refer to "markers" instean of "guns" or "weapons". Some use of "paintball guns" is tolerated within the industry, but references to "paintball weapons" are short-lived unless they come from small companies with no impact. Occassionally negative terms such as this are used by surplus companies and catalogs outside of the paintball industry.

The insurance companies are reluctant to provide products liability coverage to companies that sell paintball products, and presently decline coverage to companies that might sell "paintball weapons", as such terminology has raised the stakes in claim litigations.

Bottom line... no company with sufficient assets to pay a moderate price for a domain will touch www.paintballweapons.com

there are several such products sold by small companies... mortars, shoulder mounted gas powered bazookas, multiple barrel gattling gun type "weapons", etc. Many of these products are prohibited at insured playing fields.

individual participants or teams playing in scenario games sometimes even construct TANKS from small cars, quads, and lawn mowers

The best market to sell a paintballweapons type domain name is probably to a small manufacturer of scenario game accessories. Look in Action Pursuit Games Magazine (in your local supermarket)for such companies
