Tried to look at MSNBC.COM and am getting redirected to DOMAINREDIRECT.COM.

I am behind a corporate firewall so I don't know if my filters are screwy. Can anyone else confirm?

Have they been hacked? FreeWho says the domain is reg'd till 2014!

Lol,

Dan

Hmm, must be my firewall filters then or some dope has a bunch of spyware on this machine. I am still unable to pull it up.

It's probably pulling from cache at this point.

Thanks,

Dan

Most probably adware, spyware, etc on your computer/network (extremely slight chance a msnbc.com server(s) itself could be infected) ... anyways it resolves fine here ...

Another possibility is the problem could be with your corporate name servers containing bogus data for some reason...

On a related topic, many folks running their own hosting/dns have unknowingly allowed their domain(s) to expire because their domain resolved locally for them while in reality the domain was no longer theirs - I've picked up a few domains that dropped for that reason over the years ... lesson is to always verify domain resolution via third-parties; asking others to check, just like you have asked others to do with msnbc.com

Cool, thanks for the reply.

It must have been specific to that machine 'cause I tried another at a different location and it resolved just fine.

Like you said, adware or something.

Thanks again,

Dan
