With DVD players coming in well under $100 now, the bottom has dropped out of the cd player market.

A perfect example of names that have a short life-span.

What? Are we talking recorders or players here?

Yes, there is a pricing difference between cd-r's and dvd-r's.

But for PLAYERS, the overture figures show that DVD players have leapfrogged CD players in popularity (keeping in mind here that DVD players can play CD's AND are now dirt cheap CONSUMABLE items), and the overture figures for "cd player" will drop off rapidly, monthly.
