hmm... the time has finally come.
I think what duke is doing today, brings back memories of what the so-called Domain King did in 1997.
The ridiculous prices paid for .COM in the past, is gone, finito.
New extensions will gradually dilute .com with AFFORDABILITY and availability, and businesses will be hard pressed to justify to management being held ransom to this vestige of the past after being totally disillusioned and insulted by sellers asking $10k for a non-descript junk .com name. Sure, you get the ocassional optimistic sale on .com, from buyers still rooted in the past, and speculators still rooted in dreams of early retirement.
And of course, the mind manipulation games of the so-called "big players" who publicise fake sales that run over a million dollars to buoy the market with hope.
When you own sex.com, it is easy to criticise other unfortunate small "farts" from making a living in the only way they can afford with the little money they erk out through honest sweat and tears. "Hard luck, stupid! I was here first, so bow to me, you loser. Reap and weep my fart."
Life is fair. The next generation will have their own.
