mylacky.com

I just picked this up.
This outfit went belly-up about a year or so ago.

It was a San Franciso/Seattle based dot-com company with a huge budget.

They spent millions on a national marketing campaign.

05-01-2000 their IPO was $5,640,000.30

To bad they didn't spend as much on web site promotions.

I like the domain name. If anything for nastalgic purposes.

What do you think?

Cheers!

That IPO was pretty bad for early 2000. I bet you can enable the DNS and start receiving all their emails :D

Compared to the IPO's of start-ups, where the median IPO was well above $40 million.

Thanks 2003.

Anybody else have an opinion?

The domain name...not the IPO :)

Cheers!

Seems as though you are correct to a point.

The original IPO named mylacky.com

And by the way LACKY is in the dictionary and also a well know slang.

As for your insult "Learn to spell"

I've seen a few of your posts. Your aggresive tongue and keyboard approach leaves a bit to be desired.

Please try and refrain from insulting people. Especially me.

PS.
Thanks CoolHost

Never seen the word lacky, as pointed out before. Misspell, plus another word added = mylacky.com

appraisal based on domain name alone (per your request) $0

With a name like that, no wonder it bombed

Just another case of a wacky business model that was funded by overflowing money with no way to go but down the drain.

It definitely helps to have an easy to spell domain. It would be tough for idiots like mudfence to find the site if they can't even spell it.

True. Another dotbomb created by mispelling weaknesses. Bury the name.

Yah I know.
/* the truth be known*\
I discovered that after reg last night. Turns out when I spell checked LACKY I pasted in all caps and MS Word didn't complain.
It turns out that they held both spellings.

As far as me being an idiot. I would beg to differ.
I spent $5 registering a domain that google finds 12,800 hits for.
Which really doesn't mean much. But if you do your own DNS and hosting it never hurts to have another domain or two pointing at you sites. Especially if you know what a doorway page is.

Onsale you made it worth $25

As far as your forum ediquette goes :(

You could use a little work. And if you don't straighten up I'm going to tell your mother!

Cheers!

So, not only are you too stupid to know how to spell, you're also too stupid to use the spell checker properly. Thanks for clearing that up, you idiot.
