I've never understood why OL should be an abbreviation for Online. Online is one word.

Yes, I know AOL does it, but then copying them seems pretty lame. SITEL decided to name their intranet site SITEL Online, which meant you had to go to SOL (and, yes, they abbreviated it to that) when you wanted to know about the company, which I thought was hilarious.
