I have an urgent question, will need some urgent help.

I am basically tossing up between buying 2 domains.

one of them is a generic name .net with about 19,300,000 google search result. It has 7 letters. The price is $2500 USD

the 2nd one is also a generic name, but it's a .com, it is a combined single word e.g. cardealer.com (which is a word combined of 2). It has about 25,100,000 google search result. It's got 10 letters. The unique type-in/month is about 1000. The asking price is $4000.

Which one is more worthwhile buying? Are they bargains or overpriced? How much money would I make approximately by parking these 2 domains with google ads on them?

Sorry that I have to type all these descriptions. But it's the only way I can describe without mentioning the actual domains.

I only have fund to buy 1 of these domains and I really need to choose carefully.

thanks heaps again

depends on the niche, impossible to comment about pricing without knowing the dn(s). What is the OVT of th e first one?

If you want an unbiased opinion, pm me, I have no interest in spending that value on a dn (to park) currently -to conservative a ROI for me.

I would go with the .com for sure, it is hard to say without knowing the domains I agree, but if you consider them somewhat equal value at this point then the ,com would rule, just my opinion.

thanks for the opinions so far. More opinions welcomed...

IIM8, I have pmed you :)

If you are just planning to park them with adsense revenue, wouldn't you be able to estimate how well they would do esp since the .com has 1000 typeins/month? The person can't give you stats to show revenue?

Not sure about the first one. A generic name with .net with 19 millions results and no typeins. At that point, shouldn't you see how it is ranked? If it's just parked, then it's not going to do that well?

What's the standard?

I haven't got the specific webstats for either. The .com was just a verbal result from seller. I have asked him to send me some graphs to backup his unique visitors claims.

I don't know about the exact type-in traffic of the .net .However, I am sure it's more than the .com . IIM8 can probably back me up on that one.

So far, I am more inclined to purchase the .net, since it's a term more wellknown to the western society. The .com is more of a anime/manga series that are probably more known to anime/manga fans.

no question, i would go with the .com, although I think just based on the traffic its overpriced, it would have to be a pretty good term to outway that traffic, also, I would be careful if the seller told you its all type-in, usually a significant portion would be backlinks...I would double check the domain in archive and alexa for backlinks etc.
