Would you register 7char .org domain name, made of 2 words, which get over 45.000 searches per month on overture?

what about if it was .us or even worse, .ws? Is the fact that it gets 45.000+ searches worth it?

What about 2 word .ws that gets over 120.000 searches on overture? I know that .ws sux, but regarding search engine traffic, i guess it has some value.

depends on the words, but I probably would go for it if it's halfway decent.

watch out for wacky overture results. use common sense, and do a google search for the term to make sure it's a common term.

PM me if you'd like an opinion one way or another on the term.

I have already pointed out that you can make it with subdomains or even subdirectories.
If you intend to develop it, it actually doesn't matter which extension you use.
Only in rare cases (e.g. see wwf.com) when a name has some direct type-in potential, then .com is a must.

Heheh I agree with you kidkool. I wouldnt sweat over few miss regged domains. But if it turn out to be good, then I might regg them more often if i see them. And its a matter of principle - I dont want to regg crappy domains, and I would like to know are they getting any traffic. Otherwise its just a waste of time and money.. What the hell.. Here are the names I am thinking of registrating:

SEXPISTOL.NET - 27.655 Overture - so so..
SEXGAME.WS - 50.019 Overture - 2.730.000 pages on Google - like it a lot (exept of the .ws part)
SEXPOSITION.WS - 119.723 Overture - 2.600.000 pages on Google - seems cool (exept that its a .ws)
SEXJOKE.ORG - 45.108 Overture - 1.220.000 pages on Google - not sure.. dont like it too much

Regarding your names, I don't think they have substantial value for either developing or reselling.

Heheheh Thanks for reply. I wasnt thinking on developing thzem, nor reseling. I just wanted to use the traffic that they might generate (would they?) and transfer those visitors to my sex webstore.. So would they generate any traffic, or should i rather leave them?

The .ws arnt the best. I have 3 myself :

VideoGame.ws - 2.6 mil on O and 1.8 mil on Goo
Scripts.ws - 60 thou on O and 11.8 mil on Goo
SouthPark.ws - 178 thou on O and 660 thou on Goo

I was told they where worthless so I assume yours will get the same reaction.

I don't think anyone "clear" would type any .ws domain just like that.
So, without developing and promoting you can't expect any traffic.
On the other side ALL of your names would generate a respectable amount of hits if they were .coms.

if you have good keywords in RUL and title tag, also put those keywords in your page text (whatsoever bs), you can get hits from ses for sure. the hotter keywords gets more hits.

How many type-ins do you have per month?
Are you listed on any SE?

Options and others: I wasnt reffering to traffic from type-ins, but to traffic from Search Engines. Anybody else thinks like me and yahoohaha that I could get traffic from search engines (I would forward visitors then to my other sites)?

Tippy: Dont you get any traffic from those .ws sites of yours?
