Actually, Neighbour is the english way (british/canadian) of spelling it. American term is Neighbor. Its just another one of those words, like Centre and Center, etc.

Well, I've personally never seen a show called neighbours before, but Google shows that its a soap opera.

It is long running aussie soap that Kylie Minogue started in,
It is very popular in the UK. but if it ever came stateside I guess they would probably rename it.
It would probably need sub titles too.
Which all gets back to the value of neigbours.us
Fastautos must have realized the spelling difference.
Neighbors.us would surely be worth a lot more
