Geodomain for Nepean, Ontario, Canada, population approx 150,000.

The city of Nepean was amalgamated into Ottawa in 2001, but the name is still widely used.

Any thoughts?

Being from "Nepean" I'd say it's worth high $xx to low $xxx wholesale...to an end-user I'd say mid $xxx to higher depending on their development potential. I don't use "Nepean" in conversation, location-based services or writing as much anymore. It gets less and less all the time. Might be a good sell to the Nepean museum or something?

I used to live in Nepean too... The name would be more valuable if Nepean was still an independent city, so perhaps I should start campaigning for de-amalgamation

I was thinking the end use might be a local business directory or real estate agent's site, but the Nepean museum is an interesting idea.

Yeah those are good ideas also! And definitely campaign for de-amalgamation, maybe our taxes will go back down haha. Either way, I think with development the site has good potential!

(City).ca domains are very difficult to get a hold of. It's worth more than $xx... but being no longer its own city, you'd have a difficult time clearing $x,xxx.

Doesn't CIRA reserve (city).ca names for use by the municipal government? This doesn't apply to Nepean since it's no longer a city.
