Yeah, Netsol knows about all the shortcomings. They claim they're working on the issues and will continue to make the site more functional. Their rep said they needed to get something out there to "increase awareness" of Netsol's capabilities compared to registrars whom already have fully-functioning .mobi sites like Godaddy. If you check out www.godaddy.mobi, you'll see what Netsol is trying to catch up with.

Netsol is so huge that progress there proceeds at a snail's pace. But what's more important to domainers here is that Netsol is taking seriously its need to catch-up to Godaddy and other registrars offering small-screen sites which produce $$$.

You can besmirch Netsol's site all you like. That won't stop Netsol's eventual evolution to small screen devices, nor will it stop .mobi's steady propagation and success.

I think this is a good move on the part of Netsol, targeting .mobi speculators.

They must have hired some .mobi lemmings over there as the .com has been down for at least 2 weeks.

That's the lamest comment you've made, and you've made some doozies!

So it's not a good move by Netsol?... I say something positive about .mobi and it's still not good enough for mobiers like you. You must be so used to mobi bashing that's it's effected your judgement.

Targeting .mobi speculators is not a forward-thinking move for ANY registry this late in the game.

Most Registrars I see are still promoting .mobi

If Netsol is not targeting .mobi speculators/investors, who are they targeting?

Anyone and everyone. It seems unlikely they are specifically targeting speculators/investors. Otherwise, they wouldn't be charging $34.99 for a one-year .mobi registration while other registrars charge $7.99 for the same thing. But you already knew that, right?
