"new.net" tlds appearing in Google results...

Has anyone else noticed that Google has indexed "new.net" tlds?
Has this been going on for some time?
Im not very familiar with the way that Google bots operate, but was this done intentionally?

i cant rememeber exactly what i was searching for,
but
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site:club&btnG=Google+Search&meta=
will bring up the new.new tlds
