The number plate 'F1' (obviously formula 1 appeal)
sold for about £375k (pounds) other day in UK

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article728062.ece

Council had owned for over hundred years ( real history don't u know ;))

This guy has money to burn. Anyway, would rather buy a great car and great domains with the cash personally rather than a plate

So what happens if you come out of the grocery store and your plate is gone? Do they replace it lol. I guess some people have to much money to spend I guess.

Haha, I actually saw an interview with the guy who wanted to purchase No #1 for $xx million dollars here the other day.

These people have so much money that they can't possibly spend it all. They have purchased everything they can think of and when run out of ideas of things to purchase, they start spending money on stupid things like this.
