Is this worth keeping? Is it worth anything? Ive seen the London Olympic commitee stopping people using bits n pieces for the 2012 olympics but not much on the 2008 games TM situation. Any thoughts? thanx.

Highly protected trademark - surprised you have not heard from the Olympics committee although posting here should help. :)

The UK is putting out c&d's on those names that even have a reference to London/England/2012 - let alone Olympics - drop it asap.

hey just looking at this thread, ive registered olympics2008souvenirs.com. a few months back when i just started out, and sedo wouldnt park it because of this trade mark issue.
so i thought fair enough, so now its just sitting on my registar, i&1 i think it is.
will this cause me problems, as im not using it?

No idea. Ive had no contact from anyone regarding the name. anyone else have any thoughts?

The Olympic Committee is notorious for protecting their TM. End users aren't likely to want such a name and resellers won't touch it - let it sit, let it expire.

Speaking of TM... when I was in Europe, I saw a company named OLYMPIG spelling with the G instead of the C. Does this violating the Olympic tm?

I said you should sell the name if you can. I did receive offers for my olympic domains before but I didn't sell. It turns out that I cannot park them due to TM issue now. My Olympic domains are just sitting there earning dust.

Yeah, i had a low offer on it a long time ago and also some interest from a hedge fund manager. Not much since. thanks for the patent link, v interesting actually. Any other thoughts anyone?
