PayPal actualy apologizing for something? A first.

Thank You for Your Business

Recently, the PayPal site had technology issues that may have hindered your ability to conduct business using PayPal.

To show our appreciation for your continued business, we're going to credit you for PayPal transaction fees incurred on October 28, 2004, between 12:00:00 AM PDT and 11:59:59 PM PDT.†

You don't need to do anything to receive your credit. We'll add up the transaction fees you accumulate, and send a credit to your PayPal account by November 25, 2004.

thanks for the heads-up
looks like 24 hrs though
12:00:00 AM PDT and 11:59:59 PM PDT.

Not everyday a company's service interuption is so bad it makes frontpage news for an extended period of time. I'm sure the wailing and gnashing of teeth must be something fierce.

that's good news!

Is that for everyone, or just for people who received a special email?

Re-read it, its not talking about then, its talking about now!

It's a nice gesture by them, but I'd rather they just send me cash. :D

Nice gesture, but I don't control when people pay me. Let's see if this works:

EVERYBODY WHO OWES ME MONEY: PAY ME **TODAY**!!

Time to jump ship. I decide to start using 2Checkout more, now that they have implemented the DEFT system for Canadian merchants, which means much faster direct fund deposit into Canadian banks. To be fair, they both have horror stories, but at least 2CO has a support forum.

Having said that, I got $600 slipped in just in time for this. Good enough for a week of coffe (I mean the transaction fee). ;)

Maybe it is a scam, be careful!
