What is it for or how do you intend to develop this one ? :greenconfused:

Last time I checked Mobile Phones were Wireless :sigh2: and didn't have any PhoneLines. :shy:

I don't know, but something to consider. (I think you would have been loving it, personally. ) I realized this might not go well after that thread, but as the saying goes, what'ya gonna do?

Phone "line" doesn't just mean only a physical line anymore, but there are now many kinds of phone lines in the world - such as chat lines, shopping, weather, traffic, humor, customer service, jobs, counseling, etc., etc. :cell::cell::cell::cell::cell::cell::cell::cell: ...

I kid you not - I really do want other people's "thoughts, feelings, insights, opinions, advice..." on this, and not my own. Hmm, do I see another phone line in this kind of thing?... I'm an open mind here, a clean slate, a ready spunge, an open...line...

Perhaps as a directory of Landline services since people still do have landlines. Information for companies laying cable? Something to do with phones with lines.

I could see it as a possible social networking site, but then you're looking at branding, advertising, and setup/programming costs.

The easiest way to develop .mobi's at the moment IMHO is to put up information that people will want to get and use from a phone. After you see traffic then you can monetize. The only thing someone who types in phonelines.mobi is going to expect to find is something pertaining to actual phone lines.

Hmm, in my last post I questioned 3dG if his latest might have had something to do with this, but in your case I'm only going to ask if it might have something to do with this.

Information like chat, shopping, weather, traffic, humor, customer service, jobs, counseling, etc., etc. lines, and maybe even different kinds of phone service, too? Now, it is true that the literal meaning of "phone lines" is an issue, but even in the sense of "phone service" that by no means is simply "physical" lines anymore, which in context appears to be what you might be trying to "suggest." So, yes, the idea is to provide or "facilitate" exactly what you say in the more figurative sense, and also the literal, and then hopefully receive steady new traffic based on the various kinds of "lines" visitors discover available. And if anyone has good ideas not mentioned or thought of yet to share, I'm still all ears. The line is open...

www, It sounds like you want to convince yourself/others that the name is good :undecided: . IMO the above comments were just their opinon (that is what forum appraisals are for) and you kind of attacked them for giving you what you asked for.

Personaly I don't see the value in the name. But like all of us I have reged worse.

I only stated what I thought at the time. I could not think of what it could be used for, so I asked. :yes: with a bit of humour maybe :lol: but that was all.
