to upload the module via ftp to add another theme, can you just make a new folder in the "theme" directory and name it ? where? Must you install piecemeal all the parts of the new theme module?

I am looking to see the new theme dropdown it when i log in via the admin panel.

i am working with uploading modules for my installed site.
i tried installing a downloaded package and it was a train wreck.

is it my version or should i just stick to plain wrap?

themes are uploaded in the themes folder and modules in the module folder. They are automatically picked up by the admin side so you dont need to install unless the module requires extra sql tables.

huh i just put up dotnetnuke and the newsletter can;t function and the godaddy advanced support can't figure out why either.

The .8 version of postnuke is light years ahead of those you mentioned. It's security is also one of the best among the CMS crowd as that is their main focus. Its code validates xhtml strict, and we have over two dozen sites running PN - all rank first page in Yahoo, Google, MSN for their keywords as PN is so search engine friendly.

Drupal and xoops have their uses (we use it on a couple of sites), but they can't match pn's permission system which is essential for building a fully featured website.

You can use it to build "web 2.0" sites with validating css layouts. It's templating scheme is nothing less than amazing when compared to any of the other cms's mentioned here. It blows anything else I've tried out of the water.

I like Joomla but it's not everywhere I am hosting. I like dotnetnuke but the godaddy installs drops the forums module (stupid).

I like the swing of the nukes but too many issues and problems.
