In forex you trade pips. Pips are small increases in the prices of the currencies you're trading.

I always thought they were called "ticks" in all the markets I am familiar with at least.

Trader, in FOREX they do talk about PIPS. Imagine teeny tiny ticks traded under huge leverage.
