closed placebo.tv - EASY SELL TO THE BAND PLACEBO??

I regged this site last night...which has released 1 million plus albums worldwide.

When I checked overture for Placebo, it came up with 191,000 hits last month, I am guessing most of those are fans of the group.

And if there is no problem with the trademark issue - is the next step to market the site to the band - and if so at what starting price.

And if not the band, perhaps to drug companies??

being that a placebo is usually a pill or medicine that has no biological effect and is given in drug trials to those who do not get the actual product, it is not very commercial name (except for a band name), I think it means 'calming effect' and that is the key to develop if you don't want a fansite. You could try to market the band if they do not have the TM otherwise they may try to acquire it without paying. Dictionary word, mid $xx undeveloped.

Thanks for your advice Andy. In your last sentence you stated that "You could try to market the band if they do not have the TM " .......what do you mean by "market" exactly......and also, can a band trademark a generic word like placebo??
