If he brands it to sell co.uk names, it can sound catchy, and even trick people who dont know into thinking they are actually at the 'official' registry (sure the name is long, but to a newbie it will look official) and he can sell co.uks

You may get type-ins, and you may be able to sell to a domain registrar. Try looking for PPC income and listing it for sale. List it for $500 and sell if anyone offers $100.
