Thanks Steve K for having something positive to say.
I hate to have to defend myself epecially since some people have already decided that "lolita" should somehow be banned. I guess I will anyways.
The only really valid comment I saw was that SOME affiliates won't accept sites with "lolita" in them. They are not the majority though. Most do. I've been running those sites for years and never had any trouble except with one sponser (amateurpages which also bans the word "young")
As far as host. If they accept adult sites they will 99% accept a site with "lolita" in it as long as it isn't childporn.
As far as attracting the wrong kind of attention. Funny coming from someone who took a childrens television show name and converted it into porn domain name to say I might attract the wrong kind of submissions. As far as that goes I have it clearly posted on my site that anyone who tries submitting childporn will get reported to the authorities and they ARE. I rarely get any and when I do I get the shut down.
As far as attracting the wrong kind of traffic. I don't get that. If someone WAS looking for childporn I'd much rather they ended up at my site than at one that actually provides this crap. Again what kind of traffic are you expecting to get from a domain name like sex club seven
I bought the domain names years ago when tracking my links I noticed that links with the word "lolita" in the get substantially more click than any other links. Plain and simple. I've never provided childporn and never would.
The word lolita is a word. It's not childporn no matter what anyone says.
Books such as "lolita" and even "romeo and juliet" actually provide descriptions of underage sex. And they are considered fine art. I don't even provide this stuff. Never did or never will. I live in america and I'd end up in jail.
BTW smith Most sponsers do not cancel your account for having the word lolita in your domain name. Your making up facts and exagerating there. (The only place even that word appears on my site is in the domain name btw) Some do. Most don't. Visa is now diallowing paysites that contain this name though it's true. It hasn't affected any of my affiliates though. I've used TONS of sponsers and only one has ever given me trouble.
Also I don't know how you can state as fact that "lolita is the major term used to reffer to underage porn". Have you taken a poll? Or did you make this fact up much like the "most sponser wont accept" argument. Or do you just "know" this. And how do you know unless your researching this somehow or are involved. Last I heard the biggest source of childporn was on some yahoo groups that got shutdown by the FBI. I'm thinking "yahoo groups" might be a more apropriate term used to find underage porn.
Funny how a WORD causes so much trouble with some people. Underage porn. Yeah I understand why that upsets people. It upsets me too. But often I find people really do nothing to stop it except ban words that may or may not even LEAD to it. A word is a word period. Nothing more.
It's obvious no-one is going to evaluate my domains in a rational way even the ones without lolita so whatever.
I'm out...
