I only own a few .mobi names. However, one of the name which I am thinking developing is Psychic.mobi. Time to looking to mobi api...

I am thinking something simple but fun... maybe something as simple as cracking a fortune cookie. Appraisals and suggestions? Thanks.

Regards,

Kawing

stop bashing peoples thread, READ THE RULES
off topic, your homepage is one ugly site... did you design it?

well you claim you are a web-designer.. i just thought you could do a better job, otherwise... anyone can design what you have up... its very ugly.. nothing personal dude... your always on the attack mode.. seriously your site is ugly... dont be angry about it .. do something about it...

back to the topic Psychic.mobi is a great domain... lots of pottential... sit on it for now.. unless you can provide Psychic service online...

Google math games, there's some where you pick any number, follow a specific formula and always end up with 1028 or something....

whhhooooohoooooo

also a random response generator would be fun, type in a question, respond yes or no randomly.

Me angry because you popped a comment from your ass because you're a .mobi boi and didn't like my response, just to spite me?

Nah.

Buttman, it takes a bunch of ignorant comments to tick me off, bud. Nothing personal eh?

Again, where is your "homepage" dufus? Myspace doesn't count.

sit on it for now

Yep. Sit on it and move up and down.

As a matter of fact, that's what I am thinking. Some sort of random generator to predict the outcome (or should I say psychic readings). Might be more fun to involve user's selection such as a number is mapped to a message. There also seem to be a lot of psychic readers already charging people on the phone bills... maybe there is a way to tab in that for revenue.

it will cost money to market it, otherwise... the domain is a great investment.. well done...

Any of you remember those "magic 8 ball" things you used to be able to buy. You asked a question, shook it and turned it over to get the answer.

Something like that would be cool for this and the development wouldn't be all that taxing (probably free code out there to do the job).

That may be enough to start drawing people to the domain, beyond that you would need to come up with some kind of daily horoscope text back service or something in order to make some cold hard cash.

I would develop it with something simple like the idea above which would cost you next to nothing to do and then once you've built traffic you could probably entice an enduser who already has the systems in place for the other stuff to part with a decent fee for it.

Online Horoscopes etc are already a saturated market IMO, so trying to develop it yourself into an earner would be high risk and costly given the established competition.

Thanks. That's a good idea.

wow .. i'm really surprised how some are allowed to spout off here in this thread, but then again i remember who's overseeing this area ... enough said.

anyhow, back on topic ... psychic.mobi is a very nice name, really could see quite a few end users interested in it if they 'knew' it was available.

maybe set-up a 20Q script on it.

I like it...you could do something like keen.com, but for mobiles, definitely develop this one.

users type in their name and birthday, then get a fortune

women will love this domain

that's nice and all, but:
1) you will end up spending some $$$ to promote the site (how will users endup there?
2)how will you monetise the site?adsens for mobile?

Best bet might be to just take the "fast cash" and just sell it now...

Mobile horoscopes are very hot right now and I'm doing huge numbers with them. If you're willing to whitelabel a mobile landing page, you can get paid $8-$12 per lead from most affiliate networks.

Without going off track here... and because I honestly don't have experience with them... do .mobi domains get any real type-in traffic?
