I see a lot of posts where people are either requesting the "Exact Search" volume or providing the "Exact Search" volume. However, when you use google's keyword tool, there are two "Exact Search" figures provided. The local monthly and the global monthly. Which one is the one that is commonly used in domaining?

on the left side of screen, look for these options:

broad
exact
phrase

put an X next to Exact, then do yo thang...

but, i think you should read more comments about that tool, before acquiring domain names based on results you find.

imo...

Local is based on the Region you have defined in GAKT.
For a domain that is clearly only accessible / useful to a specific geo audience, you might be interested in the local searches, instead of globals.
Usually the (global) exact monthly searches is the most accurate indicator of the traffic a domain might acquire - when developed.

Learn how to use the tool properly so you don't purchase a 150000 "exact" domain here or elsewhere (as very few quote the broad and not exact).

After a few uses and the more you get into purchasing, you can tell a broad from exact (but it never hurts to double check).
