The domain forwards so checking the PR is not feasible.

Problem is, once you forward a domain it sucks up the PR of the domain it is forwarding to, and as soon as the redirect is taken out, the PR will go down.

You should never redirect a domain you are selling just because of its PR.

Site is listed in DMOZ too. Somebody buy it before a DMOZ Editor looks on and gets it deleted.

I'm not trying to screw up your post, but you asked why, so I'll tell you the things that set off my alarm bells:

1. there is NO content on a PR5 site (no content jeopardizes your pagerank & dmoz listing)
2. you are in a huge rush to offload the domain
3. you are messing around with htaccess redirects

I don't expect you to accept the $250 offer, but I feel that is the true value of your domain. If you want me to edit out this post, just say so and it'll remove it. (but you asked *why*). Nothing personal/no disrespect etc

No need to edit it at all, everyone has their opinion but I will respond.

1. there is NO content on a PR5 site (no content jeopardizes your pagerank & dmoz listing): Yes this can mess with the PR and dmoz which is why number 2 is going on, so someone can buy and use before those 2 things are effected.

2. you are in a huge rush to offload the domain: not a huge rush but yes in a hurry for the reason above and the need for some extra funds right now.

3. you are messing around with htaccess redirects: the redirect was an HTML refresh call in the index file, it redirected to our new site because we were going to keep the domain but the need for extra funds at the moment has shifted that plan.

I'm a straight forward and honest guy ... I am not here to rip anyone off I am here for business and the moment I rip someone off that would end because this is a very close community. I fully respect your feelings and your reasoning for the value of the site to you but on the same hand this domain does far exceed the value ...

It has been online since 1999, it does have a PR5, it is listed on DMOZ, and last but not least it does have traffic which is good and in some cases far better then names that sell for far more then our asking price.

My response to you is also not personal, I have no hard feelings and I am not worried about the thread ... I think in the current situation all opinions on something even if they are not to my benefit have the right to be posted and heard.
