I am listing what I consider to be my flagship site for sale. It is a PR6 political blog which is a source for Google News. So that virtually all stories that appear in it gets indexed and appears in Google News within a few hours. If a story is picked up on the frontpage of Google News, it can generate thousands of hits within a few hours.
In Google News, try searching with the titles of the individual stories, or use
site:watchingthewatchers.org
According to Google News, there are just over 4,500 Google News Sources, which would make this an extremely rare site.

Furthermore, it is PR6 with 1070 backlinks in Google and has been so for more than 18 months.
This site was originally starter by an employee of RawStory and I bought it in Oct 2005. Since then, I have left the entire running of the site to two regular users. As you can see, they posts regularly all the time. The site is a liberal political blog that has become very anti-Bush and anti-Iraq war.
The current installation uses Scoop CMS with hosting paid till the end the June. Most of the revenue is earned by the selling text-links which currently generates $90 a month. I would have been able to sell more links if the Scoop CMS was compatible with text-link-ads. Adsense only generates a few dollars a month. The previous owner used to make $200-300 a month through blogads. Obviously, this site is very under monetarized at the moment as I have never used it to make press releases onto Google News.
Reason for selling
I would honestly have preferred to keep the site indefinitely and develop it at my own pace. Unfortunately, the webhosting has been rather unreliable lately. The site should ideally be run using a CMS other than Scoop but I do not have the technical expertise to make the change.
I will start the bidding at $5000 and may add a BIN later. Payment by escrow only with split fees and 3 day inspection period. I am not basing the price on existing revenue or revenue potential. The asking price is based mainly on rarity and prestige value. Remember, there are millions of websites but only several thousand sites that are included into Google News.
I hope that the new owner will let the two users to continue their posting there and also keep the political orientation. I reserve the right to not to sell the site for any reason.
