ProfilePimp.com is a custom designed MySpace resource site which opened on the 10th of April 2006.

The site features a custom design which fits the target audience well and a range of unique and non-unique (some content from turnkey) content.

The most popular content on the site is the pre-made layouts, we have over 30 designed templates for ProfilePimp, people use them to customize their profile, and in exchange we get advertising (button: http://www.profilepimp.com/images/support.gif )

We also have had a unique "extended network banner" creator coded which cost us $xxx, we have not had the time to install the PHP Graphics Libary system on our server which is why the script is not implemented into the site. We will however install it for the new owner. The script basically allows users to create their own custom network banner, apply text, background colours, etc and then save to our server and add it to their profile.

The domain name cost us $xxx.

More revenue info:

As you can see the ads (Google Adsense) are VERY well optimized and compared to the traffic, the revenue is astonishing. Just think - we get around 800 uniques a day and earn $860+ a month, with a little bit of promotion some MySpace sites easily get over 50,000 uniques a day - and imagine what the revenue would be!

Site is currently run on our dedicated server which has many other of our sites on it.

ProfilePimp has used 276208.54 Megabytes of bandwidth so far this month.

Reason for selling:

It is mainly because me and my partner are managing too many other sites to even concentrate on ProfilePimp, and also for other personal reasons between us.

I was looking at your site trying to figure out where the traffic comes from etc... and looking into the whole bulletin aspect and I was looking in your forum and found this :

PLEASE tell me how to get rid of it. it's posting waaaaaaaaay too many undesired and unnecessary bulletins, when im asleep, at school, and gone. theyre pointless. it's basically spamming and i deserve to know how to stop it. it's not fair at all.

...there were a couple of these type of messages. Perhaps you have it set to "spam" to create initial traffic and get the site up and running - but is this something that can be controlled and turned down - or is this the nature of the beast? Pls advise. I did not see a reply from your support to the individuals addressing this.

My concerns lie in that you are hyping traffic via these bulletins to generate revenue for a month to sell at premium $ - however everyone can do this but it is not sustainable to "spam" like this indefinitely and eventually one will get shut down or black listed etc.... thus the question is will someone be able to continue these methods of promoting the site long enough to generate a enough traffic and have enough advertising to sustain the site and $ after the means of spaming is shut down and the site is black listed.... will one be able to maintain the $ that it has made over this last month with all your efforts to generate such long enough ie. over 10 months to get back ones initial investment? Will google eventually stop paying for these my sites traffic - how good is the traffic these sites gererate? Will advertiser stop wanting to do business with these sites? Risk, risk, risk... 9k is quite high for such a high risk

It is a sharp looking site, great funtionality, better than most "my space" site... and I have the $ - I just cant justify spending it on something that is so high risk... if it were selling for 3-4k then I would have jumped... but considering the individuals that complained on your forums accounts have been shut down and or cancelled - it is just an upward battle promoting these type of sites... especually trying to sustain the $ it has made in its first month long enough to get back the initial investment... the site has great potential it is just not garanteed given this market ifit was not so high a risk I would have gone at least 10k... but given the type in traffic is so low and the site so young I am sorry...
