Long story...aren't they all.

A member on NamePros had an idea that he claimed worked for him. Parked domains that were getting traffic but no clicks or revenue is a curse for all of us. He decided enough was enough. He took the names off of the parked re-directs and created a simple email responder form. That form was nothing more than

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

Some of the people hitting the domain name would enter into the search bar what it was they were searching for. The person who posted this claims to have gotten enough results to re-direct the domain back to the parked site with great results. Why? Because the people are giving you the keywords!

I was very skeptical about this but thought I would try it. I have tons of domains with very high traffic but no clicks. One particular domain name was ymii.com. No matter what I did or keywords I selected, there were no clicks. Google, Yahoo, and every other search would not do a thing for optimizing keywords. I set up the site as specified but added a multilingual search instructions not knowing where the traffic would originate.

I started getting some responses. The majority were VIRTUAL ASSISTANT or VIRTUAL OFFICE ASSISTANT.

Did it work? HELL YES! to put it bluntly.

In about 3 weeks time off a parked page and of my own creation, I was able to re-direct the domain name and re-set the keywords as indicated above just 3 days ago. The result is now my 5th or 6th top revenue generator with a 34% conversion rate. I kid you not! Tickled to death.

Now, go look at www.c-eu.com. I just did this site this morning. This is another one of those high traffic zilch revenue domains. Already at nearly 400 for May.

The domain name is at moniker which does not have hosting.

The re-direct is to my WWD reseller account.

1418.info was just sitting in my account.

If you simply type in c-eu.com into the browser, which is what people do, you will end up on the 1418.info url.

It is a simple URL redirect done in the Moniker control panel.

With each GoDaddy or WWD domain name, you get a FREE website builder of 5 pages. I have never used more than one.

You can not add Google Adsense to these free sites. Godaddy has the Google ads at the top on the GoDaddy domains. My reseller account has them on my pages. So it is a win-win. That revenue will go to me. Now if someone is able to figure out how to post ads let me know.

But primarily I am taking this as a chance to promote and cross promote.

Taking advantage of the free sites to not only tell me what the search keywords are from those that use it, you can also promote the heck out of your own sites and include all the links in the world.

I am not one for gimmicks and this certainly is no gimmick. It has made believer out of me in short time and I'll be doing all my traffic domains this way.

It is a little learning curve for the form set up but it is sweet.

You owe it to your self to try this.
Make your domains work for you.
Put them to work!

typed in "income" and nothing happens.

All the results came to me:

FREE MONEY
INCOME
NEED MONEY

You are simply telling me what you are looking for. Those will ultimately be my keywords when I redirect to parking pages.

Re-read the text. It does redirect to 1418.info. That was not being used. Forget that it redirects. You entered c-eu.com, not 1418. I am using a domain name and a free website tonight account.

There is nothing to buy! If you have a godaddy account, you already have it. The free website tonight account is already there, many templates, graphics, layouts to choose from and countless option. You can upload your own graphics.

I despise godaddy but love this stuff!

lost my mom in the mall little while ago, do you know where she is
Okay, this is cute. But lets not get carried away.

This is for your benefit and info and to try out.

Yes, I know where you mother is but she's busy at the moment. You didn't loose her, she ditched you. We, I mean she, had things to do.

Gotta go.

Easy way to avoid the ugly godaddy ads:

add
Code:
<noscript>
after
Code:

Well, not really a creative new niche.

I and a few other members have asked Donny a while back to add couple of simple templates such as a portal and a search box like meanwhile.com. They are in the middle of the approval process. I hope they can be up on the shelf soon (just like many other new functions which were quickly delivered! :D)

You have a domain. It is parked. You get traffic.
No Revenue.

What are they looking for? This is a temporary page, not so much a web site.

When you enter the info, it comes to me. The page simply takes you back to the home page. I could take you somewhere else like a THANK YOU page. Not a bad idea.

Look good? It is a free template, free website tonight account. Totally temporary.

Here are the results from the previous domain mentioned, ymii.com, after doing this temporary site and then redirecting it back to Sedo once I have the information (it has only been directed for three days):

05/03/07
15 Views
3 Clicks
20.00% Click rate
$0.16 $/Click
$0.47 Revenue

05/04/07
21 Views
9 Clicks
42.86% Click rate
$0.16 $/Click
$1.41 Revenue

05/05/07
20 Views
8 Clicks
40.00% Click rate
$0.55 $/Click
$4.38 Revenue

with the information entered on the search submission form, I have been able to determine that people who previously were looking for ymii.com were searching for VIRTUAL ASSISTANT.

Previous Monthly totals:

February 2007
22 Views
0 Clicks
0.00% Click rate
$0.00 $/Click
$0.00 Revenue

March 2007
92 Views
1 Clicks
1.00% Click rate
$0.25 $/Click
$0.25 Revenue
April 2007

0 Clicks
0.00% Click rate
$0.00 $/Click
$0.00 Revenue

May 2007 (represents 3 days)
20 Clicks
35.00% Click rate
$0.31 $/Click
$6.26 Revenue

I have owned this domain for about a year and a half and most of the time traffic is up and down. But with this simple tempory page I have been able to take a zero gainer to the current status. Google and Yahoo and countless searches and changing keywords never helped. What you are essentially doing is having the viewers set the keywords for you...telling YOU what they are searching for.

This sounds like an infomercial.
Sounds like alot of things. Sounds like I am excited about a suggestion on another forum that I thought I would try and it actually worked.

Feel free to try it. Most informercials try to sell you something. I ain't selling squat. Trying to optimize revenue.

I could be a dick like many other members right here and not try to help others along or contribute worthwhile ideas and not even bother post this infomercial and keep it to myself.

Free is good. Infomercials suck.

or go to Domain-Sponsor and let it auto optimize ?

or TrafficZ search lander ... and check what were the search terms ?
Auto optimize is tough on an LLLL acronym. Typcially it will take part of the domain and assume something.

C-EU.COM is an example. Auto-optimize as ceu (continuing education unit) on nearly every site. This is also what I have used it for as well as the European Union Commission and numerous other search submission results. The bottom line is you don't want to take a high traffic domain like this and drop it simply because it is not generating revenue.

The three months in bold is trying it at parked, domain sponsor, name drive. Same results. Decent traffic. May totals are through early this a.m. (about 5) when I redirected it from being parked and started working on the site. No revenue to speak of.

Well, not really a creative new niche.

I and a few other members have asked Donny a while back to add couple of simple templates such as a portal and a search box like meanwhile.com. They are in the middle of the approval process. I would certainly hope optimizing keywords and revenue is not a creative new niche. This was passed on to me by someone else and it worked.

I am passing it on to the members on this forum as I am unaware of this being posted previously.

If false traffic is bots or spyders, then you will have traffic and never any revenue. Last time I checked, bots and spyders can not physically enter a search term.

I think this will also help you determine the source of your traffic. Is it real? Which language or country is it coming from?

The point to all of this is a method that works and has convinced me to take all my traffic domains that are not generating revenue and try this.

Take it to the next level. See what you can do to improve upon this. With free host accounts and web pages, this is a no brainer...park for nothing or put the domain in action and see what it can do.

I guess I will just wait to see what Parked can offer soon. I think it's faster than collecting traces. :D

How do you "collect" the search words that ppl typed in ?
They are sent to my email. Works pretty good.

When I get time (at work at the moment) I may build a quick second page THANK YOU type thing.

Open to suggestions as this is new to me.

I guess I will just wait to see what Parked can offer soon. I think it's faster than collecting traces. :D
Not sure how waiting on someone to do this for you is faster when this can be set up in a matter of 20-30 minutes.

I guess this would be the same Parked.com that refused to pay for clicks on a couple of domains...one being a 7 year old NBA fan site that I caught on the drop.

They claim their down field advertisers refused to pay for the clicks. So essentially their advertisers were getting free traffic thanks to my domain and nearly 17,000 members that were registered members of the blog forum on this site.

It wasn't a great amount of money as I only let them erase the clicks for 5 days. I guess Parked.com does not recognize legitimate type in traffic and searches. Someone with parked said they did not recognize the source of the traffic...what??? I guess too many individual IP addresses started showing up and really had them confused. Seems to me if it is coming from the same source over and over and over then it is most likely bots or bogus traffic.

Bottom line, Parked and their advertisers made money on my parking attempts with them. They got FREE traffic.

I have since relaunched that site as a web site and it is doing very well.

How? Did you insert your own code?
I can send you a copy of my code. Simply insert you email in place if you want to do this.

If you are using a godaddy page from the website tonight account, there may be a couple other things to do for the form submissions to respond properly.

Knowing what surfers want is always a good idea.
BINGO! You can spend hours trying to figure out what people want or let them tell you what they want. Listening (or reading in this case) is a better way of optimizing.

How? Did you insert your own code?
PM sent. Languages included.
