Hello John, I have been on the hunt for Kevin Farrall for almost 2 years. I purchased the domain rhubarb.ca from him through barter. I created the Yokee Character he proudly posts as his avatar as barter for the domain which he promised to complete the transaction. I mistakenly sent him the character and did some web work for him and he has skipped town with out paying his bill. I know this has nothing to do with you only that anyone in business wether a domain purchaser or a media company we should be honorable and fulfill our word. I know he left a previous web developer high and dry as well. Any help here would be great! He has still control of the domain and I need to switch hosts - can't do it - it's in his name. This is the only public forum I have actually found where he is active and conversing. I've called a dozen times, emails - nothing. Help? I just want my domain!!

I think he lives in Ottawa - I'm in Barrie - quite the ride, but I'll do what ever - I don't think personal confrontation is required. It's a simple deal. $2600 of creative for rhubarb.ca He failed to deliver on his promises through phone conversations, emails and contracts. And has the audacity to use my artwork as his avatar - he is a thief - all I want is the domain - I'd rather not pursue legal, but we are in desperate need to switch hosting.

I don't understand how you don't have control of rhubarb.ca ...and continuing to develop it? Why have you finally posted this issue?

Been looking for a forum or someplace where he is - found this a month ago and just decided to pay the $20 to get heard. I've tried being the nice guy - phone calls, emails - now it's hard ball, I guess. Any advice other than knock on his door? We have hosting control - but not domain. He "allows" us to use the domain obviously, but we need to changed hosts - now and I'm handcuffed.

What's his nickname?

BTW - i am really impressed with the site. There is some hard effort there. I hope you get control of the name.

Thanks! We have worked hard to build our biz. We're proud of the work we do! Just sad, I got duped by Kevin - appreciate the replies.

Ya - might have to visit - Ottawa's a nice town. Or send someone large to "talk" to him?

I've dealt with Kevin a few times - domains and websites and never had a problem. He always responded quickly to any email, msn and phone call. Is he not answering you anymore or just giving excuses?

not answering...for 2 years!? Stopped responding to emails as well. He developed a website using my character -then pulled it down (ran off on the web developer as well) now I see the website back up as www6.ca. So he's using all my work and not paying for it by giving us the domain.

Jack Splat/ Kevin Farrell from Ottawa, now Calgary SW sold the domain out from under us. No warning, nada. 3 years of building our business, using the domain (which he promised us would always be ours), branding our company around it and on Friday our website goes down and is replaced by Google ads for rhubarb whatever! Now I have no website, emails AND the $2600 of which he promised to pay us by trading www.rhubarb.ca is now still owed. He sold it Jan 29, 2009 - pretty close to the date I started poking around this forum. If anyone runs into Kevin Farrell, run!

I think you need to either e-mail John, or call his office. Since you're both in Canada, it would probably be better taking a local lawyer though, or going to small cliams court.
