A domain I have parked on Sedo - actually one I asked about here before - has started to get another burst of traffic, with 23 clicks for 24 visits today. When I entered it into the address bar to see what ads Sedo was using I was brought to another page - something like gooddeals - and was told by a popup that I'd won an iphone, just click here. Naturally, I didn't, but I'm wondering if this domain is something arranged by Sedo. It seems different from their usual parking pages. Should I be worried?

why is your first nature to worry...

especially if the point of parking is to get visitors to click on ads?

i'd be more worried about why i worry about such things.

:)

LOL, Don. No, it's just that it seems to me almost everyone is going to click on something telling them they've won an iphone and it didn't seem like Sedo's usual parking page, especially as it converts to a different domain name.

pop-ups, as part of ad choices, may be enabled on your domain, thus the iphone ad

maybe take some time to view settings for each name.

imo...

I didn't even know Sedo allowed this type of format in their pkg pages, fwding to another page and/or popups/popunders, mallie you may want to double-ck if the domain is actually directed to Sedo servers w/the registrar, it may have reverted back to its previous DNS settings, or your setting it to Sedo's servers may have never really taken, that happens. Maybe they're doing this now, or it happens in SedoPro if you have that, I don't remember ever seeing an option for this type for the names I had parked there. DomainSponsor and Namedrive both allow popunders and it improves your revenue a bit, like biggedon suggested, so if Sedo now offers this then give this format a try

Forgive the delay in responding to your comments, angel69. I was a bit distracted over the past few days. :)

I checked and the domain is still pointed to Sedo. Just now I entered it in the address bar and the same popup is there, congratulating me on winning an iphone and then going onto an iphone ad page. So maybe it is a new thing with Sedo - I'm not on the pro program anyway.
