Why do people bother bidding more than 10 points on a name before the drop. I mean aren't you going to private auction anyway, weather your bid is 10 or 1000 if there are 2 or more bidders? Is there an advantage to having the high drop day bid when going into private auction? Is it that the bidder is trying to have eNom allocate mre resources to their efforts to catch it?

Thanks

Hi Sharpy.

In the past, that was the case according to enom.
The more you bid, the more they were supposed to allocate resources o go ater the name.
I dont think it makes a difference anymore with the current changes at enom.
Perhaps with the only excpetion that the person raising the bid before the drop might be thinking he is scaring competitors away from bidding, while of course the opposite is true. He is flagging the domain as ímportant'(wether it is or not) and more people jump aboard just to see what the fuss is all about.

i've seen a tie happened in my case, so i think the domains are awarded to the first high bidder in this case
