I got an unsolicited offer. What should I sell it for?

It has been registered by me for 10.5 years already. Have not promoted/developed.

Now is the time to sell with the cable shows on air. I'd sell for 25k

depends what you want for it. to the right person it could be worth xx,xxx but that person may never come. Most wouldn't pay more than low to mid x,xxx if you're lucky. The thing about adult names is there is usually alternates that can be used unless they are super premium.

Well it's a sort of low offer to start negotiation, but I think they would go up. Not sure if they would go more than $10K. Just my guess. Maybe this person/company wouldn't even go to $8K, dunno. Also if they don't buy I may try to find other interested buyers. So I am trying to decide what should be my minimum and target prices.

do you know how many times I've seen ads for lonely and bored housewives?

Great search results in Google
Results 1 - 10 of about 8,340,000 for "real housewives".

Dating site for married women, be big in no time.

Yeah, dating site could be the top use for it. You didn't give an amount though!

Smells adult from 2 miles away. Sell to Bangbros :D

not sure on it's liquid value, but RealHousewives.com is a very 'clickable' domain making it good for development and promotion.

it could be the next reality show too!

Stats: RealHousewives.com
Keyword search volume (exact) - 40,500
CPC advertising price - $0.44
Traffic (Compete.com) - 769 month

Application: Tons of applications, many mentioned already. Dating site does seem to be most logical at this point.

Strengths: Very high search volume, some traffic, great two word .com

Weakness: Low CPC, search volume could trend back down if TV show stops

Comparable Sales w/ Stats:
Domain - Sales Price - Date - Monthly Keyword Search Volume (Exact) - CPC
LonelyHousewife.com - $4,250 - Jan 2007 - 5,400 - $0.86
Housewifefuc k.com - $350 - May 2005 - 2,900 - $0.31
BisexualHousewives.com - $300 - Jan 2008 - 73 - $0.69
CuteHousewives.com - $300 - Jan 2008 - 91 - $0.05
PrettyHousewives.com - $300 - Jan 2008 - 73 - $0.05
FamousWives.com - $130 - Aug 2007 - 320 - $0.05

Final Thoughts: I would definitely develop/sell this one right now while its hot. Looks like the keyword search volume trended up just recently (most likely because of the TV show). So now seems like the perfect time to make a move.

Fair Market Value: $10,000 - $20,000 USD
The above value represents the domains fair market value. Keep in mind that certain end users might purchase a domain name for far more or less than its fair market value.

"Most wouldn't pay more than low to mid x,xxx if you're lucky."

I agree, around $5,000 as a nice brandable.

20k to 30k from the right end user. You have nothing to lose starting out high and waiting. If this buyer doesn't take it, someone else will come along eventually. Could apply to adult, dating or a reality series. Look at 'Wife Swap', sounds like an adult show/site but is actually a 'clean' reality tv show.

Any other extension would be a poorer choice and just increase traffic to your domain. Same goes if they had the hyphen, Real-Housewives. The singular doesn't work as well - RealHousewife.

If you can afford to wait and don't need to sell, don't let it go too cheap. Try to play it like Rick Schwartz or Frank Schilling would. Good luck!
