I need help with transfering a name from activewebhosting.com a reseller for tucows i think. I will be buying the name from her tommorrow. I have an account with Godaddy, they say the transfer takes 7- 10 days. Their is numerous emails sent out to all parties making it so long. Is their any easy way to do this? She wants me to pay her by money order that takes a couple days then 7- 10 days on top of that? I can't wait that long I have plans for this name. this is confusing to me I never transfered domains before.

Option 1:

Create an account at active...and have her push it.

Option 2:

Contact the losing registrar (activewebhosting), and tell tem to "queue it for submission".

This way, when godaddy sends the transfer request, it is auto-approved, and it will show in the godaddy account the next day.
