I made the unfortunate mistake early on of registering several domains at Registerfly.com. I am sure many of you know how crappy their services and support were. Regardless, I had a good domain name (Misjudged.com) that was registered there and for some reason the contact information would not update and had a defunct email attached to it as it was 4 or 5 years old when initially regged. Now, I was able to get a couple of other domains out and set in new accounts at Enon since RegFly went by the wayside, but Enom has been lee than helpful in helping me retrieve this domain name and now it has expired. Is there anyone that knows what steps I can take to get this domain back other than waiting for it to drop again? Enom doesn't seem to want to help.

Did you try to renew it at regfly? It might give you a little time to get it transferred. ENom was only helpful in the domains that were actually registered through them when regfly was a reseller for them.
THere are other suggestions at registerflies.com which has been on top of the regfly issue since way last year.

From what I have heard when you attempt to renew at Registerfly, they take the funds but do not actually renew your name.

I did a whois and it shows Enom as the registrar and not registerfly. It appears it was registered when Registerfly was using their reseller account. The expiration date also shows 2008. I'd contact Enom as it appears to be under their control.

Why is Registerfly still allowed to operate a website and take orders? I have reg'd 3 times and they took my money and did nothing.

I would phone enom immediately and explain the situation and ask them for advice.

A transfer to my site is also welcome - with attractive offers.

Best wishes,

That is fantastic! I was hoping for something like this to happen. I was able to transfer all my decent names out, but still have a few hundred .INFO's that I was not going to pay regfly renewals in fear of loosing the money...

Hmm, we'll see how it works out. I did manage to get my 'most important' names out a few months ago, so if things work out the few remaining ones can now be salvaged as well once they're at GoDaddy's.
And I hope things will work out for you as well, nicpal.
