Registerfly - Good?

I have never used them, but I just did a quick look at some of the top thirty results from Google.com for the word registerfly and also searched their name on this forum and saw that some customers of theirs have had some problems.

In a full scale rating of 1 - 100. 100 being the best in all criteria, 1 being the worst. I will rate registerfly a "1".

Their system is bugged. Any coupon when applied in the cart does not fail, hence a failed order, but money was never refunded unless emailed support 2-3 times.

Lets say a domain expires on 5/30/2006. On 5/29/2006, the domain will be "locked". You cannot update contacts, dns servers, get auth code, anything. This is a "forced" method for registerfly that force their customers to renew at registerfly at a high registration cost of $9.99 for .com, $8.99 for .net and .org, and other tlds.

If you want more info, take a visit to www.registerflies.com. I do not want to see you experience what I had experienced.

Registerfly is one of the most hated registrars on the forums. There are several members that have lost names, gotten transfers screwed up, were double billed and can't get answers from support etc etc.

Just do a search on past posts here for registerfly.

I've used registerfly for a couple of domain registration. Personally i think there customer support sucks!

They started billing my credit card every month out of thin air a few years ago. I would not trust them.

If I am not mistaken they are switching over to a new interface. Support is horrible. I say every 2 out of 3 emails I send them are ignored. I only have a handful of names there I purchased from others and are still within the initial 60 days of registration, otherwise they would be out of there a long time ago.

Stay away from registerfly. I just got ripped off by them. They now hostage my money and will not refund it. The customer service is extremely poor. One of the worst registrar!!!

Stick with godaddy and enom... they are much more profession.
