I am lookin to register a few domains for the purpose to resell.
My question is:

How many of you register your domains by proxy?

For me, I do not want to have my personal details listed in the WHOIS database, especially as these domains will be listed for sale. FXdomains seem to offer this service for a cheap price at an extra $7 per domain.

Any thoughts on registering domains by proxy from a resellers perspective highly appreciated!

To me, "registering a domain by proxy" implies that you are getting a third party to register it for you. If you are just looking to mask the WHOIS data, you should look at Namecheap as they offer one year's worth of free privacy service with every new domain. After that its between $1.88 - 2.88 per year.

1and1 does the same thing and it's included with the $5.99 reg fee (for .com's and .net's)

Just put into whois ANY data + valid email
