This is no time to be selling .US so I am looking for ideas more than an appraisal. This term has great overture numbers and can be used for car, hotel, vacation & other reservations. I would think there would be a lot of good affiliate programs in this area. Can someone point me in the right direction?

This name is longer than I normally like but looked like one with excellent potential. Gone in all other extensions of course, as is OnlineReservations. I actually like having the word Reservations first as that is the product (the Online is just where you operate). I'd like to hear your ideas.

I'll do a logo with RESERVATIONS in large font and "Online" smaller and underneath as it does not need to be emphasized.

I think it's a great name for a travel site - hotel, flight bookings etc... There are loads of affiliates out there you could hook up with, online travel agents for example. Being a .us I think you'd have to stick to internal US bookings/vacations. It has alot of potential.

Definitely thinking of it in terms of US sales Ed. With the security fears that people have now, a lot of Americans are staying close to home to vacation, so the market here is plenty big enough. The emphasis on the .US extension might even be a positive as there is no way for me to compete with the big worldwide boys.

Of course I have no illusions about the .US extension at this stage of the game. I am very much looking several years down the line. I think it will catch on strongly in time and I would like to be positioned with some good names and sites if it does.
