Manic,

Why would you waste legal fees, and try to sue them all the way from Australia. Simply have your CC charges refunded through the CC company, and let it go.

Alarming news about RegFly, as I've never had a problem with them in a couple of years (knock on wood).

BTW, if a eNom registrar goes under, what happens to the domains - I guess you just manage them through the eNom control panel? Does anyone here know, or has anyone faced this issue yet?

About RegisterFly... I tried their service about a year ago. My understanding is that they really didn't have their "system" perfected back then. Lots of accidental charges.

I kept getting charged $9.99 a month for four months when I never used their ExpireFish service. They were polite and refunded any charges... but being polite didn't really make up for having to request refunds for accidental charges so often.

looks like a tv premium name charge. simple- do a chargeback

I had the same problem with charges by ExpireFish. Unfortunately, though, they would NOT refund. I now avoid ExpireFish (not useful anyway) and Registerfly companies.

Thanks everyone. I am now doing a chargeback, and hopefully will have results in a week or so...

I hope you issued a charge-back.

During the .US rush, RegisterFly.com TRIPLE billed my credit card and they still owe me over $500 and will not return my calls, letters and their live tech support sucks. I move over 200 domains from them to enom.com.

By the way...RegisterFly.com uses ENOMs service.

Does Registerfly operate under any other names?

Does anyone know?

Just so we don't get caught out again!

I am a newbie, but I believe my question has some merit: are .tv domains the internet equivalent of Beanie Baby's?

What could possibly make a .tv domain worth $300, or as some have suggested above, $25,000?

Interested in any reasonable explanation.

Finally got the money back through a charge-back by the credit card company. Yay. Thinking of using a third party to transfer money from now on. Anyone have any suggestions? Is Paypal always reliable?
Thanks to everyone for their stories and advice!
