If you're looking for safety:

escrow.com / sedo.com / moniker escrow service

Wire transfer directly into your bank account > * escrow services. Solved.

Escrow.com is safe and least expensive - and you do not have to give your Bank account info to the buyer.

Escrow services are the best for security (the same as others have said).

You don't need to give them your bank account information and the funds are cleared before you release anything.

If you get to know them very well and get to trust them, then you can move to less secure means like Paypal and paper checks.

I will probably use escrow next time, I had a large sale of a site I owned along with the domains, payment was done with paypal but the everything went through fine, I think next I will look into and probably use escrow.

Do you mean selling or stealing?

My comments corrected

Escrow.com has a rule that the seller and buyer both must be US residents with a US PayPal account to pay via PayPal, is this the case with sedo.com escrow too?

Escrow.com is safe, but damned if the buyers always slow things up with that service.
Last transaction with escrow.com took no less than 3 weeks.

Moniker.com is the bomb for me, each time has been about a week, and freeking seamless. They also handle the entire transfer. They get the cashola, they take the domain and do the push to the new owner. Then the money is released.
