Like a cross between painting and photo - it's interesting; draws you into checking out the detail. Don't know what your domains are like, but your photography has a value to it.

How's the detail when it's in a larger scale? Does it remain sharp once scaled up?

The original photos are 5000 pixels and thats what I work on, then scale down for the web so yes, all the detail is there in the original and remains, plus you gain even more detail with this process.

I use photoshop and photomatix pro.
