Actually, it is quite clear. There is only one person confused. The seller confirmed that I won after the auction ended.

Thank you for your suggestion. I wouldn't mind the extension, if DirectoryGator was from another part of the world. However, if you live in North America and don't know the difference between ET, EDT and EST, it is your own problem. I'm glad there is no argument about what AM is.

I do believe you should honor this one but if you re-list, let me know. I am only writing this in thread because your PM box is full. In your next auction, you should include the time the auction closes more clearly, for example I will state EST(eastern standard time) in the US. Maybe that will help your also.

Current eastern time is EDT, it will switch to EST next month.

EDT = GMT -4
EST = GMT -5

Sumo, you miss the point. Your post shows 11:59 am
If you're seeing 10:59 am you're in central zone.

Rich's post said "11:00am EST". Obviously, he meant "Eastern". Since we are still in daylight saving time, it'd be more accurate to say "11:00 am EDT". But you cannot adjust that EDT into CDT to claim your post made at 10:59 CDT post was made at 10:59 EST Get it?

I am not saying his post of:

"11:00 am EST"

...is perfectly accurate. It should have been "11:00 am EDT". However, common sense - and common (ab)use of the term - makes me understand that it means:

"When the clock strikes 11:00 am local time in the Eastern time zone of the US"

So in this case, your post was made 59 minutes after that time.

Sumo, i find it funny that you know it's EDT (this month) yet you think someone would say EST (eastern standard time) when it's next month.

By EST he means Eastern.

I hope you learn a lesson today, or else you're going to be showing up an hour late at a lot of auction sites.
