Searching whois database by last name and/or first name

just curious - is there a whois database that will allow you to search it by last name and/or first name of the registrant?

It was possible to perform a last,first name search on the NetSol website, but not anymore.

If someone actually wanted to spend the money, and devote
the time to such a task, it is possible.

Netsol sells their Whois databases (updated
frequently) for $10,000/yr. This includes names, registrars, etc.

It's now possible to do this, for a fee, using the service provided by SnapNames/Dialog.
