I made the mistake and regged a couple of domains with 1&1 also because Sedo has banners..so I thiought I give it a shot, and thats also where you get linked to by Sedo if you need a registrar like many new buyers, and I can say that 1&1 is probably the worst registrar I have ever used. If someone buys a domain from me and wants it transferred to 1&1 because he saw the banner at Sedo the transfer is going to be long and painful. Or even worse if the domain I am selling through Sedo is at 1&1, for the sake of providing customers with good service and fast service for those that are already customers I think Sedo should look to promote those registrars that have the easiest and best domain handling... I think if you want to be taken seriously as the best marketplace you cant promote a registrar that is that bad..

I have a bulk of my .coms with 1and1 and do I ever regret going through them.

I am waiting until the 60 day "hold" on some of my domains is over and then I am moving them elsewhere, but I can imagine that will be a problem in itself.

Any site that has a seperate, well hidden site to just change your renewal settngs is definitely a piece of junk.

1&1 is the worst ., even registerfly ranks way above them ,now thats "playing handball on the curb"!

I agree, 1&1 is terrible, you cant change settings such as bulk and cant turn auto-renew off, not sure about the US division of 1&1, but the only phone number they give you in Europe costs you $1 minute I think Sedo should work towards promoting those registrars that make them look good, because the marketplace is great otherwise
