Did anyone have a keyword refused by sedo for not being right for their domain?

It’s never happened to me however it seems strange that Sedo would not allow a keyword. It should be the domain owner’s decision at the end of the day, not Sedo’s.

The only possible reasons I can think of for refusing a keyword are as follows…

1. For legal reasons e.g. If you had the domain micrsoft.com and suggested the keyword(s) Microsoft Software.
2. There were no ads available for the suggested keyword.

I thought about these two reasons too.
1. I am not sure about this. Because they say they screen each domain enters their database, so micrsoft.com wouldn't have been accepted. But then again they might want to double check.
2. If there are no ads for the suggested keyword then the keyword is not accepted by the system in the first place.

I had several of the same keyword denied, which was the name of a website. The keyword applied to the domains I was trying to use it for, since it pulled up results that were related.

Do you mean that you used something like "google" for the keyword?

The keyword was "jibjab", which pulls up several humor and entertainment offers. I successfully applied for and use that keyword for one of my domains that is a typo of that website. The other domains I tried to use this keyword with are the same genre, but they all got denied.

Can I suggest that you give Sedo a call. Whenever I've had a problem I just pick up the phone and call them. The price of the call is much less than the loss in revenue :)
